Wrongful Death

Advocating for You and Your Family

There Are No “Winners” in Wrongful Death Cases

In our 30 years of practice, wrongful death cases are the most searing and difficult because of the emotional toll the process takes on the survivors. There are no “winners” in these cases because, under the law, the only method of compensation to loved ones is monetary, which seems inadequate to those who have suffered so much.

If a loved one dies or is killed because of the wrongful act, or neglect of any person or corporation through no fault of his/her own, then the law provides for a specialized recovery. Damages are based on various criteria, including:

  • Medical expenses
  • Resonable funeral expenses
  • Mental anguish of the survivors
  • Loss of income, the services, protection, care, and assistance provided by the deceased
  • Punitive damages for willful or wanton misconduct or recklessness that evinces a conscious disregard for the safety of others

We can never make a wrongful death right, but we will advocate for you and your family through this difficult process.
